John George creates these magnificent art pieces in his desert studio in Tucson, Arizona. His interest in ceramics began over 30 years ago when, as a young man, he happened upon a potter working in his outdoor studio. He was soon learning the craft himself. Over the years he discovered the beauty of crystalline glazes on porcelain and now, almost exclusively, designs, builds, glazes, and fires only this type of ceramic ware.
